Back in 1988, The John Cooper School opened its doors for the first time thanks to the generosity of many benefactors from the Houston area. The school was named after Mr. John Cooper, the experienced headmaster from The Kinkaid School in Houston, whose guidance and capability led the school into formation.
John Cooper’s beautiful 43-acre campus is located to the north of Houston in The Woodlands, and is constantly growing thanks to generous contributions. Composed of a lower, middle and upper school, in 2013 the school added 16,000 square feet of new classroom space which allowed for more students to be enrolled at John Cooper. Students easily began to feel right at home attending the campus every day for 13 years.
The mission of The John Cooper School is to provide a quality education in a compassionate environment to a diverse group of students. Classes are kept small in order make sure that each student feels like a valued individual of the campus. The exceptional faculty and staff work to help students become innovative thinkers, responsible leaders, and lifetime learners who will contribute to society.
