Try a New Kind of Dining in with Eat24!

When you can order-in, it’s most likely Chinese food or pizza, your seemingly fair punishment for ordering out instead of cooking. I thought my take out experience was always going to be pretty much the same way until I discovered Eat24 in college and my life changed forever.

It is perfect for lazy people like me who want a world of choices, and the great news is, it’s country-wide. Visiting your grandparents? Eat24. Got a hangover on your vacation? Eat24. Need your friend to sit down and make a choice because you want to watch the new Hunger Games on Netflix? Eat24 just saved the day for you because Eat24 serves more than 1,500 cities and delivers from 25,000 restaurants (and counting).

The way it works is you plug in your address, see all the different kinds of foods that will deliver or you can get carry-out and it tells you if there’s a delivery minimum, how much delivery costs (if anything), you order the food you want and check out Amazon-style. You can add gratuity, special instructions (say, if the delivery person needs to call when they arrive because they won’t be able to get into the complex, etc.), and there’s even a place to put a coupon code… more on coupons later.

To always keep you ordering experience super quick, you can also add your notes to the menus. If you liked something, put a star by it so you can order it again or you easily look up past orders on Eat24 if you forget. If you need some inspiration or recommendations, check out what other people have said—or even the pictures they’ve uploaded of how stinking good those crab rangoons look. The restaurants can also add photos and many of them do—which makes ordering that much easier.

Eat24 aims to bring a customer service element to the takeout experience. You get to eat what YOU want (everything from sushi to tacos), and someone will literally bring that food that you want and paid for to where you are: an invaluable commodity after a Monday happens. Customer service staff are available 24/7 if your wait is starting to hurt (you’re given an estimated delivery time). Plus, ordering online or with the Eat24 app means that there are fewer human errors that come with phone interaction: communication barriers, repeating your order, getting put on hold, having to read your credit card over the phone, poor cell reception… the list goes on and on.

I would say the best part is that Eat24 is free, but that isn’t even the best part. The best part is that Eat24 sends weekend coupons every single week without fail (and a slightly rambling, often funny email body)—it’s a free service that literally pays you to use it. Now THAT is awesome. Try it out!
