The 60th annual Houston International Boat, Sport and Travel Show is back and this year should be particularly special! Beginning in 1956, the largest indoor show on the Gulf Coast has been a Texas tradition to give Houstonians an opportunity to explore outdoor activities.
Whether you prefer land or water, embracing and enhancing the outdoors has never been easier! The 2015 Houston Boat Show features plenty of fun across the entire floor of the NRG Center for every member of your family over the course of 10 days.
You can expect to see more than 1,000 luxury cruisers, fishing boats, powerboats and personal watercraft, with many manufacturers offering special discounts. If your family prefers to camp, you can get up close and personal with travel trailers, campers and accessories to ensure they’ll boost your next family getaway. You can find everything imaginable here, including art, patio furniture and clothing.
For both beginner and veteran outdoor explorers alike, numerous seminars are available to expand and reinforce your knowledge, with topics ranging from fly-fishing to kayaking. Expert fishing demonstrations at the 5,000 Bass Tub are sure certainly a sight to see!
It’s definitely going to be hard to pull your children away from the huge tank of live stingrays! The largest traveling stinkray exhibit also contains star fish, hermit crabs, and other sea creatures to get “face to face” time with.
The Antique & Classic Boat exhibit should also be a hit, along with the long –standing Fish-O-Rama tradition. Fish for rainbow trout with your children, and they can even keep their catch!
Best of all, attending the Houston Boat Show won’t break the bank! For adults, admission is $10, 4 for children 6-12 years old and free for those under 5 years old. Printing at online coupon will even save you $2 on adult tickets; just remember that only cash is accepted at the ticket windows.
The show kicks off today and will be open every day, ending on Saturday, January 11, 2015 at various times so, remember to check the schedule before heading out. Make the Houston Boat show your next family destination and let us know what your favorite exhibit was!
