The Houston Museum of Natural Science has many upcoming events this summer, but one that stands out in particular. This must see event is the film production of one of the biggest military actions in American history. Commonly referred to as ,“D-Day,” the events that took place on June 6th, 1994 are brought to life in 3D on one of the biggest screens in Texas.
Opening on May 23rd, “D-Day 3D: Normandy 1944,” pays tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in order to free Europe from the Nazis’ grip. The film explores in great detail the history, personal stories, military strategies, and technology that changed history books forever, educating and appealing to people of all ages.
An array of cinematography techniques, including animation and incredible live-action images are merged together to explain the why’s and how’s from D-Day. Through this new perspective, the audience will see this major historical event in ways that most people haven’t seen before.
