Houston area golf enthusiasts have something to get excited about! ABC 13 is reporting that Tiger Woods is designing his first golf course in Montgomery, Texas, less than 60 miles from central Houston.
The new Bluejack National 18-hole golf course, short course, and performance center will replace the old course that was difficult to access and has been closed for some time. The new development will encompass 755 –acres, and and large subdivisions are expected to pop up around the already growing Montgomery area.
Woods is designing the course along with Beacon Land development, and is aiming for it to push players to analyze and make their decisions carefully throughout each round. Players will have to meet the challenging hazards in order to be rewarded with success. The high-quality course will also be well maintained to promote numerous shot options and creativity, with simple green contours to make fast speeds possible.
