The Francis Falcons of Adline ISD boasts an impressive history. Starting in 1955 when the land for the elementary school was bought from Thomas B. Francis and subsequently named for him, it has been a public school that parents can believe in.
Since then, Francis Elementary has expanded to accommodate 850 students and 80 staff members, and is host to a variety of after-school and extra-educational programs to always ensure their students are well-rounded. In fact, Francis Elementary, a runner-up for the Gallery Furniture teacher’s lounge giveaway, was the recent recipient of a $232,677 after-school grant for 150 qualifying students.
Programs include a comprehensive library with available internet for students and parents, student laptop computers in classrooms, drug awareness programs, choir, student council, tutoring, family math and reading nights, summer school, Punt/Pass/Kick, Jump Rope for Heart and Field Day.
But, Francis Elementary doesn’t ONLY have outstanding educational programs and a commitment to learning that stretches beyond the classroom: Francis’ mission is to develop each child to his full potential and create a productive participant in society because “all children can learn,” and that everyone can make a difference, especially the curators of this mission at Francis Elementary.
