If you are currently an undergrad thinking about your future graduate schools, take a look at what Houston has to offer. Recent rankings by the U.S. News & World Report have listed two Houston schools, Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine, on the list for 2015 Best Graduate Schools.
Houston is proud to receive such honors recognizing their education institutions from such a highly-esteemed source. As reported by the Houston Business Journal, the rankings evaluate schools across the country based on graduate record examination scores, job placement, and overall academic ratings.
Rice University is located in the Houston Museum District near the Medical Center and is known for popping up at the top of lists ranking colleges in the United States. The graduate program ranking recognized Rice for its computer science, mathematics, and astronomy programs. In addition to the prestigious graduate programs, Rice also received honors from the Princeton Review placing them at “No. 1 for Best Quality of Life” and they came in second place on their “Happiest Students” list.
The Baylor College of Medicine is located very close to Rice University as it is placed in the Medical Center just down the street. The Baylor College of Medicine was placed on the list of best graduate programs thanks to its anesthesiology and physician assistant programs.
Houston is a great city for students fresh out of college looking to jumpstart their careers as there are numerous possibilities thanks to the plentiful amount of jobs.
