The city of Houston has grown exponentially in recent years, making some of its neighborhoods more and more crowded. However, Glenbrook Valley is still one of Houston’s best kept secrets as an excellent place to lay down roots.
Created back in the 1950s the neighborhood originally consisted of only six homes, making it a very low key community. Some Houstonians have referred to Glenbrook Valley as “little River Oaks” due to its beautiful homes and great sense of community.
Glenbrook Valley is located in the Southeast corner of Houston just off I-45 South. The neighborhood consists of approximately 1,300 homes to provide a safe and quiet area that is not becoming too overcrowded.
The majority of Glenbrook Valley consists of affordable mid-century and modern houses that provide a great place to raise a family. Many of the homes include beautifully landscaped yards, up-to-date appliances around the house, and refurbished hardwood floors.
The HISD schools that serve the neighborhood include: Lewis Elementary, Ortiz Middle School, and Chavez High School. Another school deserving mention in the area is Bellfort Early Childhood Development, which is a great school for your young children to enhance their learning skills at a young age.
Glenbrook Valley is a Houston secret revealed, and fortunately for buyers the housing market has yet to reflect that. Check out the Glenbrook Valley neighborhood to find a perfect home for you and your family.
