Clear Your Schedule For The Katy Cajun Invasion!

Houston is being taken over for a 3-three day celebration of all things Cajun! This rich culture is bringing music, food, and plenty of family-fun to the Katy Cajun Invasion on May 16-18, 2014 at Katy Mills Mall.

With food being such a large part of Cajun culture, there will be plenty of different rich, spicy dishes to enjoy, including fried alligator, jambalaya, crab cakes, Cajun sausages and etouffee. Cooks will also offer Texas BBQ and carnival classics such as funnel cakes, nachos, shaved ice and turkey legs. They will be something to hit the spot for every member of your family.

As you enjoy performances from the High Steppers Brass Band, Great White, Platinum Players Zydeco, Kimberly Caldwell, Doug Stone and many more, your kids will be able to have an incredible time at the professional carnival set-up on site featuring tons of games and rides. Specialty entertainment will also include wildlife exhibits, Splash Dogs and armadillo races.

The proceeds of this event will be benefitting Katy ISD, with advance tickets and passes available online at a discount, and free parking for all who attend. As an added bonus, the Katy Cajun Invasion will be free until 3 pm on Friday, May 16, 2014.

Gather up your family and friends to kick off some summer fun and bring home gifts, decorations and crafts that celebrate the Cajun culture. To get a head start on the fun with more information and to get your tickets early, check out the link below!
