Have you been to Hermann Park recently? This 100 year park is having some work done… and she is looking great!
To celebrate the 100 year anniversary, public art is popping up all over the park. There is the Boogie Woogie stick house, the Mound Town train tunnel, the big pink Dillidiidae, the round Wind Waves, the giant Spider and more!
Art in the Park is a series of art installations to be displayed over 445-acres throughout 2014 and beyond. Some installations will be at the park for just a short time. Be sure to see Spider in the reflecting pool before July 8! Visit HERE to learn more about the art.
The park train tracks pass by most art installations, so taking the train is not just for the kids! Buy your ticket and enjoy the trip!
One thing to note is that part of Hermann Park’s facelift includes construction on the Montrose park entry and the parking lots, making traffic and parking a challenge!
If you can, take METRORail to the Hermann Park station, walk or ride your bike. If you drive, be prepared to circle or to park by the Houston Museum of Natural Science or Children’s Museum.
Once you get to the Hermann Park you will be sure to enjoy the art on display. Take the tour today!
