Just 30 miles from downtown Houston is the gulf coast town of Kemah, home of the beautiful Kemah Boardwalk! Landry’s, Inc. owns and operates this 60-acre strip of Texas gulf coast, and with it created a family friendly boardwalk filled with rides, games, boutiques, and restaurants, as well as a large marina, and the Boardwalk Inn.
Boat rides around Galveston Bay, a wooden roller coaster called the Boardwalk Bullet, and a stingray and rainforest exhibit are just a few of the activities around the boardwalk. And when you get hungry there are ten restaurants to choose from!
It’s free of charge to enjoy the boardwalk, and ride tickets are available for purchase as an all-day pass or individually. There are also a number of different events, shows and festivals that Kemah hosts throughout the year. Visit their website below for more info!

If you are new to the Houston area & love the water, this is the place to go sit by the Gulf of Mexico to wine & dine.
So very true Karen! The weather is perfect for spending a day near the water while listening to live music & enjoying the sites. Thank you for sharing with us!
