Here’s a fun fact that some Houstonians still don’t know – Saint Arnold Brewing Company is now serving food! You must be thinking, it’s food from guys who make beer, what do they know about great food?
Well then, you must not know Ryan Savoie and his two man crew. They operate out of the space within the brewery to bring you delicious lunches every weekday until 2 pm.
The menu is laid back and casual, just like the brewery itself. They offer up home cooked traditional meals on the daily special, such as Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Corn on the cob, but sometimes switch it up and offer options such as a Greek Salad with a Gyro Sandwich.
At Saint Arnold each day is different and the special is constantly changing, so you can show up often and never get stuck in a routine of ordering the same thing. If you’re a fan of tradition though, there is a basic menu chock full of decadent sandwiches, amazing entrees, and share plates for everyone to enjoy, so you never have to miss out on the mainstays.
Every meal comes two courses and a beer, no surprise there, but sometimes they will pull up something rare and special from their cellar that will be on tap for purchase separately. If you’ve ever wanted to be the guy who tried it first, now’s your chance, and this holiday season is the perfect time to do it. All of their regularly available beers are served on tap at the front by your lovely Saint Arnold bartenders.
They recommend you make reservations if you plan to come through the holidays, and to show up most days before 1:15 to make sure they don’t sell out of the special before you arrive. Yes, the food is really that good, and the company is so good you’ll end up with friends who share your love for local Houston breweries.
