Just about every Houstonian is in love with House of Pies as it is a part of diner history in the city. The infamous the coffee shop that boast delicious pies 24/7, was opened on Westheimer and upper Kirby in 1967, along with a chain of others across Los Angeles. While the company collapsed in the 1986, Houston’s independently owned and operated locations remained and have since become a city staple.
In true diner fashion, all of the original décor remains, and in addition to pies, both locations serve an American breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many Houstonians love to visit House of Pies after a late night out on the town to replenish their energy with delicious, classic menu choices and to chat with their friends in a comforting environment. If it’s too crowded inside, you can always take out!
The original House of Pies is located at 6142 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77057 or 3112 Kirby Drive, Houston, Texas 77089. Eaten there before or headed there now? Tell us what you thought! We love the Key Lime Pie and tuna melts!
