One of the wonderful features of Houston is its mixture of traditional, and new, up and coming places to dine. Marini’s Empanada House certainly fits the traditional category with its rich history and longevity of providing delicious empanadas to our community.
First opened in 1971 in the Montrose area, Marcello and Pelusa Marini grew their business, support, and family for more than 20 years, until a fire in 1985 caused the family to close the restaurant doors. Thanks to their son, Sergio Alejandro Marini, his wife, and siblings, Marini’s Empanada House is able to continue their legacy with a location in Katy, and at 10001 Westheimer rd.
Today you can find more than 40 varieties of meat, vegetable, cheese, and dessert empanadas, as well as sandwiches and salads at Marini’s Empanada House and we are sure you won’t be able to just eat one! Are you a long-time fan of those memorable empanadas, which combinations are your favorite?
