With two locations in the Houston area, Tacos a Go-Go, is a great place to dine after-dark. Actually, it’s a great place to dine any time—but especially after dark!
Open for more than 3 years, in the Heights and Midtown, the interior of both locations is colorful, happy and unconventional with Latin accents and artistic integration. However, the aesthetically pleasing environment is just the tip of the ice berg.
The food here is delicious! I could eat one of their Verde tacos every single day for the rest of my life. And the great news is that would save me a lot of green! The tacos here are all in the $2-3 range. As for the flavors? You couldn’t imagine. They even have a variety of salsas to choose from. It is, without a doubt, one of the best deals in town. Breakfast is served all day and Tacos a Go-Go serves plenty of quesadillas, gorditas, tostados, salads and combination plates to ensure that your south of the border experience is superb no matter what you are craving.
But the times I crave it, and I mean really crave it, is at around one in the morning on a Saturday night when I’ve called an Uber to take me home. I usually need to make a stop… and the great news is Tacos a Go-Go is open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays because they know that people having a night on the town are starving after dancing up a storm. The “drunchies” are real, my friends.
In fact, at the Heights location, they’re realer than ever with the option of seasonal frozen margaritas, including their unique concoction, their Jalapeño Margarita. You heard that right—the spicy mix of Jalapeño with the sweet tequila-infused margarita mix will have your mouth watering. All in all, Tacos a Go-Go is one of the best places in Houston to enjoy bold flavors at just about any hour!
