After being closed for over a year, Houston’s favorite Vietnamese restaurant has opened its doors once again. Thien An closed back in 2012 for a development project taking place on their block, but now it has returned and is better than ever!
Thien An took the abrupt closing in a stride — a shocker to its patrons– but the Midtown restaurant scene has thankfully regained its top spot among diners with big cravings for tasty Vietnamese dishes. On the day of the grand re-opening, the staff served hundreds as the lines were out the door.
The new and improved restaurant is in the same location as when it closed, but many renovations converted Thien An from small café into a large restaurant. The seating area is much larger to avoid having to eat while sitting on top of your neighbors. Plus, the outside of the restaurant has improved as well with an expansion of the parking lot.
Thien An serves many Vietname cuisine classics, but the restaurant is most recognized for their pho, spring rolls, and bahn xeo. Whether you are an expert or beginner at rating Vietnamese cuisine, visit Thien An to taste authentic Vietnamese food.
The re-opening has brought new hours for people who want to avoid the lunch rush hour but still enjoy great Vietnamese food for dinner as the location is open until 9pm on weeknights. Swing by Thien-An’s and let us know what you think! Were you a fan of the old location?
