The La family has started an enterprise, NAM: Noodles And More, and it may be your newest addiction! With two locations in Houston and one in Pearland, this café brings fresh, fast Vietnamese and Southeast Asian cuisine to the delivery and dine-in market.
Much the same way ordering fried take-out packed with MSGs has become part of urban living, NAM is revolutionizing that experience with fresh ingredients and better options—all pack full of flavor! The cafe is called quick-serve but don’t confuse this with fast food. The food is fast, but definitely in a league of its own compared to places like Panda Express.
Their Pho seems to be a particular hit, so I had to try it—the veggie lover with beef broth is some of the best Pho in Houston. With Sriracha and Hoisin, a little cilantro and lime juice, those rice noodles with bean sprouts are enough to fill you up twice, but it comes with all kinds of added accoutrements like broccoli and other excellent vegetables. The serving size is generous on this dish but on most of them they’re reasonable and designed to prevent you from over-eating.
The cafe itself has a modern atmosphere. Often the best, most authentic food comes from little holes in the wall—mom and pop shops—but the La family has nailed both product and presentation. NAM is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, using locally grown organic produce and completely MSG-free recipes.
The service is another glowing aspect. For a healthy-eating restaurant, which can tend to have stuffy service or condescending waiters, NAM lacks both. The environment is warm, the service is friendly—there’s not much to complain about unless you really just miss crappy food! Did I mention they deliver? There is literally no reason whatsoever to go back to bad take out. Try it today!
